Bedroom Decoration Inspired from a Box

The inspiration for this pink and grey bedroom all started with a pink craft box.

With space in the house becoming available after children flying the nest this room required a full-on makeover to create a perfect tranquil room to paint and craft in.

The NEW Creative Options craft box that has just launched is a large pink box that can hold a huge variety of craft supplies in a variety of different compartments.

This box takes centre stage within the bedroom on top on the desk that also makes a great dresser. The craft box was my inspiration for transforming this bedroom into a pink and grey room.

As this box is such a stunning baby pink colour I thought it would go great with the grey paint I had bought.

Making the box a great feature of the bedroom, only right when the box is such an important part holding most of my crafts supplies. I have recently got back into painting and have found this a perfect box to hold all my paints, pens and pencils so they are all within reach when I need them.

Below you can see the room before when it was used for my little girl's room, she insisted on the barbie pink room. I wanted the room to have grey furniture so the walls and bedding could also have a hint of pink within the room.

I was then set with the task of painting the furniture grey that I wanted to place within that room. Chalk paint for furniture gives off a chalk look and I wanted more of a Matt finish.

Therefore the paint was chosen for this furniture to give off a finished matt look that gives the room a grey base to even out the tones of the pink. Where is it best to get grey furniture paint that can help transform a room like this? The paint used on the furniture - is a Fusion Mineral Paint in the colour Mineral. The desk is an IKEA desk that has been painted with the Mineral Paint on the top and then silver metal legs have been added to continue the grey theme. Reupholstering chairs
